In their initial iteration, Jews were stripped of citizenship and restrictions placed upon where they could work and who they could marry. Later provisions were added that stripped their right to access things like banking and legal contracts.

The right tends to think of freedom of speech as their right to say what they want, or associate/disassociate with whom they want, without consequence.

When anyone else with different ideological POV's exercises those same freedoms toward them, that's infringing on their rights and they are bad and need to be stopped/punished/vilified.

You can't simultaneously whine about speech sensitivity on the left and claim to be the party protecting free speech and expression and then turn around and systemically seek to ban books and speech that triggers your side, flood school boards and legislate bans on teaching history that you dont like, even at the college level. Or proposing laws that ban teaching things that hurt white people's "feelings"
