Back when I was about 14 years old, I caught a BIG fish in our pond . . .

and I have told about it many times in the 6 decades since.

Pretty much every time I told about it, it seemed to get a little bigger. And the difficulty of landing it with the meager tackle I had got greater and the amount of time it took to bring it to shore got longer.

Sometimes years and years would go by before I felt like reliving my old memory of that fish.

And now, more than 60 years later, I have no real idea of just how big it was or how difficult it was to land.

I think this is a pretty good analogy of the "what Roy Moore did to me 40 years ago" concerning the allegations coming out now.I think something creepy very well may have happened then, but I reject all of the salty details.

Just as anyone would reject my 'facts' about fighting for 2 hours to land a 15 lb bass with a malfunctioning reels and a broken rod. It seemed every time I told the story something minor was added - but the fish never got smaller, and the difficulty never became less. But nobody should deny that I actually caught a fish from our pond.

I think the only one who has any credibility at all is the original 14 yr old. And I think it was abnormal enough for her to tell a 'girlfriend' about it - and being 14ish that generated a lot of "and then what?" moments, and the girl just filled in some stuff to get another "OMG" response.

I don't really think even the girl remembers exactly what happened - and if she did, she would not retract all of the "fish stories" she has told since, because there is no way to prove anything one way or another - just as nobody can disprove my latest version of my fish story.

What is UNDENIABLE is that this whole thing is a dirty POLITICAL ASSASSINATION! Forty years have gone by and numerous elections have been held, and not one allegation emerged.

And the girls themselves were not even moved to bring it up this time - whatever happened back then was just a moment it time. However, we bring in an outside 'investigator' whose only mission is to steal a Senate Seat.

The salacious details of the results from a 40 year retelling of a creepy event is accepted as "gospel truth" by those who want to steal a senate seat in order to effect changes in national policy they did not earn at the ballot box - and these same memories are rejected by those who want the senate seat to remain in conservative hands.

Nowhere in this sorry tale is any REAL concern for 'women's issues' or 'predatory sexual practices.'

It is ALL a political calculation.

To hell with anyone who claims otherwise - spare me the 'pedophilia' bullshite unless you apply it where it belongs - Menendez and his circle of filth.

I wish I had had that damn fish mounted.
