The government fails because of this...the average citizen walking the streets in America have NO idea what's good and what's bad in Syria. All the different factions and beliefs made up of different groups (Christians, Muslims, etc)..its just too much to figure out for the average voter. And these voters care about America, but dont have the desire to try and figure out these other situations. So what do they do, listen to MSM and gather info there...which is biased against the administration, and that's why you see negative polls and such.

Bottom line, no one knows who the frick is the bad guys and good guys, and moderate voters get their info from MSM on whether they should approve or not.

We will never know what’s going on because the government is making the media push a specific narrative that may or may not be true.

This average American doesn't care what's going on in Syria and thinks we should mind our own business.

I don’t think you need a deep understanding of the ethnic and religious make up of Syria to take the position that you are sick and tired of American interventionism in civil wars given our inglorious track record. Additionally, one of trumps major selling points was he would avoid this kinda crap! And TPP! Oh well!

Lol...they don't give a shite about the average citizen. They have their own agenda and will end up spinning it how they want.

The nevertrumpers wanted to put a guy into the presidency who didnt know what Aleppo was.

The average American is woefully ignorant thanks to the propaganda machine we've created.

You put a guy into the presidency that said he wouldn’t do this and would scrap TPP.

Seems to me this is right up there with the 2/3 of the millenials who have no idea what Auschwitz was (see earlier thread). The common denominator is a lack of education, a lack of interest, a lack of comprehension. Unless, of course, we're talking about the Kardashians.

There are no real good guys in Syria. There is no real solution or achievable peace. There is only a series of bad choices. Find the least bad one. I get your point though. People are amazingly incurious about their world.

And your favorite source for daily inspiration is most likely HuffPost.
