I always liked to kill at least one mess of Robins every year. They're not as plentiful as they used to be back in the 70s.

I haven't even seen one yet this year here in the upper northwoods of Wi.
Everybody thinks Robins are all nice and "Pretty Robin Redbreast" and all, but just ask a spring worm what they think of Robins and you'll get the real story about what Robins are about.

Turkey was second in the voting. Where is the love?

The odd thing is that most Americans don't realize we are very late in arriving at the eagle as a national symbol. There were lots of nations going back 2,000 years that used the eagle.
The turkey isn't even a school mascot. And that's bad because there a lots of HS teams that use insects:
boll weevils, chiggers, yellow jackets, hornets.

I think the Laredo Lice don't get enough credit. They've really improved in the last couple years.

They are common as pigeons where I live, but I can't imagine why you would want to kill one. I love seeing them taking salmon when I'm out hiking

I like to put hummingbirds in my martinis just for ornamentation. Those colored feathers really make a statement.
