Ultimately the media isn’t bound by law to report any issue in any certain way, do long as they don’t purposely slander.
I believe you mean ‘willfully dishonest’ rather than ‘corrupt’.

I agree. The word 'corrupt' connotes doing something shady for money. The media would attack conservatives free of charge.

The “media” has always been biased.
But back in the old only newspaper days, every village had a minimum of 2 each trumpeting the pros and cons of their political friends and enemies.
An educated man could buy both, make up his own mind, and get with his 2 cents worth.
Now, with the few exceptions of Fox, talk radio, the internet, and The Wall Street Journal, the MSM is totally the leftist propaganda wing of the Democrats.
The last time one party had this much control over public information, King George III ruled America.
But back in the old only newspaper days, every village had a minimum of 2 each trumpeting the pros and cons of their political friends and enemies.

They lie fundamentally about who they are to get and keep their jobs. That is personal gain.

I disagree. The media employees come from J schools. J schools are Marxist training camps. 95% of those people don't make the salary of a kindergarten teacher. They are not doing it for money. If they are talented enough to get on network TV they make big bucks. But they were already true believers long before that.

Throughout history, each warring politcal faction has had a newspaper to propagandize their sides views and it was openly known to the public. The public was then able to filter out the truth from the known opposite sides.
Our media pretend to be objective now.... which is a complete falsehood...making it difficult for the public to discern what is real and what is not.
