There are probably some with fake papers getting through, but that cannot be blamed on the companies, because they are being payrolled as well. The vast majority of the laborers at those companies are legal.
The construction group in our company uses mostly contract labor. I’d guess those companies do as well.
I think the illegals will be found more on smaller jobs by smaller companies.
