I have always been a big fan of the Salvation Army, but it was a huge mistake to issue that racism statement. I am glad that they have recanted the statement and apologized for it, but I would like to hear that those responsible for it have been reprimanded in some way. Today while checking out at the grocery store I was asked if I wanted to donate to the Salvation Army, and I checked "no." I look forward to hearing more about this situation in the aftermath of their huge mistake.

Shriner’s for me. My youngest son was a patient in St. Louis from birth until 12 y/o. He had some of the best doctors in the Midwest/nation caring for him. He’s 23 and thriving in L.A. now, perfectLy healthy. They wouldn’t take a dime. I give as much as I can to them now, but no one else.
I don’t care about any odd beliefs or traditions they might have. They take amazing care of some really sick children for NOTHING. And they do it with love. Screw the panhandling SA.
