BINGO!
The silence of NIH's response is rhetorically deafening.

You morons act like Trump shut down the economy all by himself. Governors shut down. Other countries shut down. The whole world shut down.

NIH is tied up having to watch archived CNN clips on dialup from a basement to see how he’s supposed to answer.

Because it wasn’t their job to and they did not have access to the intelligence and federal agencies like the President has

Come on, nobody said it was. But it is kind of like an interview for a job.

Didn't have the intelligence? Ok. DC is leakiest place on Earth.

Now, he’s letting his guidelines be trampled on by every Democrat in charge of a city or state.

Like it or not, states have the right to govern as they see fit... if things we’re reversed and a democrat president was shitting on states’ rights, we’d all be up in arms.

Nope - we all know he has done a tremendous job in handling this.

From a global perspective, given the U.S. population, diversity, and overall poor health. I don't see how you can say he's done a bad job.

That is being proactive, just in case.

I’m loving Trump’s response- he’s running it right by letting states do what’s best for them. Georgia wants to open up? Good, NYC wants to stay locked down? Good.

He’s letting the federal government be a tool for getting the states needs equipment and reducing risk by closing the border.

How DARE you!

He declared a national state of emergency and encouraged state’s to shut it all down. Not to mention he flip flopped like crazy on his message which created a ton of confusion.

I would have loaded up on tests in Jan & Feb

First, you can’t just load up on tests. It takes quite a while to make the test and analyze the test.

Second, you would have never done enough tests to satisfy people or actually make a substantive difference on this virus. If you did 1M tests a day in March, which is logistically impossible (no one on earth has done that many yet, including us and we are doing more than anyone on earth), it’s still a drop in the bucket.

And what does it tell you? Okay, someone tested today. What about two days later? A week later? Two weeks later? All it does is tell you about one person’s status on one specific day. Testing is not the silver bullet and every leading health pro in this fight has said such. It’s just one tool in this fight.

If you did 3M a day some would say we need 4M. The road down that argument would never end. Regardless no one in the world is doing as much testing as we are.
