If there was real discussion on this board it started with the 1980 election and had gotten exponentially worse since. Both sides are guilty yet neither side really want to fix it. Much easier to parrot others answers and not offer real solutions when you can just blame the other side.

I never call anyone “a Ron bot” directly other than Jon Ham or rmnldr. They seemed to be ground zero for the moment.
I do broadly use the term though. When I do, the same group of posters seem to wax poetic “I’m not a bot, you’re a cultist”.
To the OP’s point, this board greatly embraces and encourages opposing view points.
You are free to express your views. The rest of the community is free to agree or disagree.
Discussion here isn’t only dem/gop. There is probably more dissent just between different factions of “conservatives”.
Worst you will get is a downvote or the occasional verbal attack. You don’t get silenced.
I bet SFP has over a million downvotes. It doesn’t affect his ability to state his opinion.
In short, all views are welcomed here. I’ve never come across another message board so accommodating to all voices.

There are a lot of sock puppets on this board. Gonna have some perseverance if you’re going to make it through their noise.
Everyone knows it and understands it, so no one is going to waste their breath defending you from them. Just gonna have to have think skin and manage to fight forward. If you can do that, there is some genuinely good insight and information to be found on this board. You’ll just have to be able to ignore the sock puppets to get there.
