only real example is women name changes after a divorce. Something that would probably effect less than 20 women nationwide around an election. If that.

I had to show my ID to buy a bottle of wine at the grocery store…

Is the ability to buy wine a right or a privilege?

I support voter ID on the basis that if you dont have an ID you dont have any stake in our country so shouldn't be able to vote.

But until we amend the constitution to require IDs or make voting a privilege then voter ID requirements must be done at the state level.

Its procedural.

You cant take away a right guaranteed by the constitution (the RIGHT to vote) while IDs are not required.

Driving, buying alcohol, flying, etc. are all privileges which is why voting is different.

You also arent required to have ID to buy a gun, but they skirt this by requiring the licensed dealers themselves to check ID.

As a person of color, I am truly offended by the old white devil, Chuck Schumer, and his many fellow democrats who repeatedly argue that requiring a valid i.d. to vote is hurting the people of color!

What really hurts us people of color, are the dumb-assed democrats who are okay with illegals receiving welfare, food stamps, free housing, driving licenses, etc. I know they want the illegals to eventually become a voting block for their evil asses.
Let's pass a law that democrats must use a condom when having sex so we don't continue producing these ignorant devils!

These asshats do not even try to hide their reliance on election fraud - just as they accept $$ fraud as long as it benefits the dregs of society.

IF we do not protect THIS mid-tern election from theft, we are done as a country - nothing of benefit will be passed and the blame will be directed by the lame stream media toward Trump and any supporters who gripe.

You absolutely can. You commit a felony, you lose the right to vote and the right to own firearms.

First, need to examine whether a real problem exists or if is this just another tactic to suppress a segment of the voter population and carry forth a false narrative that elections are rigged. Between, 2000-2020 there were only 193 convictions for voter fraud of nearly 250 million votes cast. That's roughly one per million votes cast. Btw, the majority of the convictions were absentee ballot related, something in-person voter ID would not prevent. Sounds like a great hot button issue to sway voters, but solution lacks merit.

Rights come with stipulations, for example, I have the right to free speech but I can be held liable if it slanders someone, incites violence, or something like yelling fire in a crowded theater. I have the right to bear arms, but I can’t own a nuclear arsenal.

So, I see no reason why I can’t verify who you are to vote.

Liberals are great at being racist. Their actions really show it.
