It might now be very "timely" for the Pope to step down over "age and health concerns".
It would be best for the Church for Francis to step aside. He has been a bad pope. He causes unnecessary confusion on so many issues. Theology is his definite weakness. Pope Benedict was a theological power house compared to Francis.

I don’t disagree with any of this.

For a long time, I wanted to give Francis the benefit of the doubt…that he was a good man who was just naive. No more. I now truly believe him to be a Marxist infiltrator.

There’s a reason no Jesuit had ever held the Papacy before him. They’re the most secular of any order.

The Church has had false popes before. It’s not a new phenomenon.

not even close to true.

Indulgences are still permitted in the Catholic Church.

Many people assume that the Catholic Church stopped granting indulgences after Luther’s famous rejection of them. Indeed, nearly 50 years later, Pope Pius V put a stop to their sale. However, Pius V also affirmed the validity of indulgences themselves so long as no money was exchanged.

While some Catholics welcome the granting of indulgences as an opportunity to reduce punishment for sin, others are unconvinced and dismissive; two other branches of Christianity, Protestantism and Eastern Orthodoxy, unequivocally reject this practice.

I’m not confessing to an organization that has actively covered up crimes against children, moved accused members around and then have the audacity to declare bankruptcy and have parishioners pay for the settlements.

The Catholic Church left me. I never left the faith. Ironic though, as this has brought me closer to Jesus.

That’s your choice. We all have to do what our conscience dictates.

The Church is administered by humans and humans are inherently flawed. I’ll never abandon the Faith. It’s bigger than it’s administration.

Yet Biden, Pelosi, etc. continue to receive the Eucharist.

And yet, Biden is in good standing along with Pelosi. They support murdering babies and call themselves Catholic. It is disgusting.

They have taken my church, but they are NOT taking away my faith and I am not "abandoning" it!!! THEY are wrong, not us. When the leaders decide to truly do something about the problems, then I will return.

There are too many criminals involved in the church and I will not subject myself to their propaganda and I certainly will not give them another dime. It's time to clean house. They are much more than "flawed".

"Bishops and curates are bound to admit the commissaries of papal indulgences with all reverence" Martin Luther in Thesis 69 of his 95 Theses.

"But they are much more bound to strain their eyes and ears lest these men preach their own dreams instead of what the pope has commissioned" Martin Luther in Thesis 70 of his 95 Theses.

He is NOT saying the Pope and indulgences are wrong, but that certain people (Tetzel) are going beyond what they are ordered to do and abusing an otherwise good commission.

And here's the kicker:

"Let him who speaks against the truth concerning papal indulgences be anathema and accursed" Martin Luther in Thesis 71 of his 95 Theses.

Educate yourself before you open your mouth about things of which you know nothing.

Thanks very much for your truthful input here.

I hope some folks have learned something, but, sadly, some of them are not here to learn anything at all, because they are here to wage spiritual warfare against the Catholic Faith.

Excellent point! God's will and word can't be controlled by man. That's the reason I left the Catholic Church. Jesus can't be bound up by traditions and ritual. The Holy Spirit can and does move as He pleases, and it's not always known or understood by men.

I used to read a lot of Vigano's open letters about the church. He really would make an excellent Pope.

It tickled me that he always referred to the Pope as Bergoglio, refused to call him the Pope.
Bergoglio is ate up with Liberation Theology. Marxism through and through. And his beliefs were not a secret when he was chosen.

Pope Francis has never spoken x cathedra.
I am not a Catholic, but my understanding is that unless a pope speaks x cathedra they are not changing Catholic theology.

The catechism is a better reflection of what Catholic theology actually is than the ranting and ravings and speeches of a pope.
