Clever marketing to get Trump to commit. Of course, Poland has no say over what we name our bases.

The term “fort” is reserved for bases in the continental United States. Army bases in Europe are usually called “garrison” or “barracks.”

I don’t want another military base in a foreign country and I couldn’t care less what the name of it would be.

Add Camp to the list, a la Camp Darby, Italy... Camp Humphreys, Korea.... Camp Butler, Okinawa, etc
