Because he's a very deliberate person. Off the cuff isn't his style

Obama sounded like he was trying to talk down to 5th graders, Trump acts like a 5th grader.

Going back to 2004 this is what killed Kerry. The joke was on the campaign trail he would sit down with regular people and try to explain to them the nuances of his tax policy, while Bush would just sit down and have a cup of coffee & talk about life.

This same thing didn't hurt Obama because he could manage to do both of those things at the same time.

I haven't seen any liberals admit to crying on election night here

But I have seen many posters claim that night was one of the greatest nights of their lives, which is one of the saddest things I can possibly imagine

Honestly I'm not sure which would be more pathetic

Well, we now know that Salmon cried.

You got me.

Calling crying over an election "pathetic" is definitely an admission of crying.

I watched all three debates and I couldn't tell you what Hillary wanted to do in office. For being a "policy wonk", she didn't have any coherent platform other than victim hood.

You cried over a football game? As a full grown adult? That makes so much sense.

How does this get downvoted? Are there other swamp kitten adults that cried on 1/9???

the only time I have ever actually melted was during the 3rd debate, I think

I got drunk while watching it and I couldn't possibly comprehend how people were going to vote for Trump (meaning I thought most conservatives would just stay home) and I melted pretty hard at the people that gave him the nomination

It's the only time someone could legit say I melted, and it wasn't because I thought Trump was going to win, it's because I thought Hillary was going to destroy him

It was pretty simple to see. Middle class white people didn't want to be lectured on privilege, race, and wealth by a nine figure millionaire who hasn't driven herself since the 70s

Yeah. I know why people dislike Hillary. That was never the issue.

but the 3rd is to what degree you and in which direction you moved the audience. we typically dismiss the audience because they're purely spectators.

They are stacked to 1 candidate(in a 2 person debate) depending on which news outlet is hosting the debate. I would never go off audience reaction to an answer.
