Any Ecuador Political Experts?

Ecuador’s government is at war with the cartels and losing. Basically, Peru started cracking down on cartels using Peruvian ports to export cocaine, which pushed the cartels to more heavily rely on Ecuadorian ports. With essentially civil wars raging in Venezuela and Columbia being funded by exporting cocaine, the incentive for the cartels to keep the port open to them is clear. Ecuador’s government declared war on the cartels, but the cartels are winning.
