while typically i relish in liberals ruining things with their bat shite hysteria, tDecline of MAD magazine has been a decade long tragedy.

Didnt they shut down a few military careers, too...
For having some beers while deployed...?

aren't terrorists cool, kids?
That was the most disgusting thing they've ever done. Who the frick posts a flattering photo of a terrorist on their magazine cover? Not to mention, wasn't Rolling Stone originally like a entertainment, music, movies, pop culture magazine originally?

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say this is 99% of the reason.

Tears will be shed. Not by me, but by someone, I'm sure.
Tears? Nah. But it is sad. Rolling Stone magazine is a piece of Americana. Sad to see them flail their way out like this. With putting a Boston bomber on the cover and sketchy Virginia story. Trying to be edgy bit them in the arse.

That's what happens when you allow liberals to take over your magazine.

But the headwinds buffeting the publishing industry,

No doubt. You want logic running your business. Liberals are very passionate, but don't have any logic.

The liberal policy of dumbing down America to the lowest common denominator (for votes) has claimed yet another victim from its own ranks.
I love it.
I love it.

And apparently money to spend on keeping their dream alive in the form of a magazine.
Soros is slipping.

Good. Nobody seems to understand the consequences of beating an agenda to death long after people stop paying attention.

Plus, several magazines have given themselves new or prolonged life through their online presence, like WaPo, National Review and others.
Don't pretend that this has little or nothing to do with them destroying their own credibility with false political witch hunts while greatly abandoning their roots - music.

Little bit nostalgic here. I can remember when Rolling Stone actually meant something and was relevant. I couldn't wait till that new monthly issue came out.
My parents subscribed and I used to read every issue in the 80's and 90's but they fully screwed the pooch with the "rape" story. Hard to feel bad for an organization that has no problem ruining lives without the slightest bit of fact checking.

Which is why I say it's way more than 1%.

Trump needs to buy it and name it Trolling Stone
This would be hilarious. He could use it to go after Congress and the media every month.

Maybe it will get sold for a dollar like newsweek.

I'll give them $1 for it then model it after Motor Trend.

Rolling Stone is up for sale. I might buy it just to put actual bands on the cover.

Between posting unsubstantiated claims about a priest and an even bigger screw up with the VT "scandal", I'm shocked that they haven't cleaned house yet.
