Another Day, Another Large Factory Fire

This time in Russia at an alumina refinery.
Alumina is used in a wide variety of ways, but one of those ways is as rocket fuel. Let's hope this one doesn't make a big boom too.
More coincidences I'm sure.

WATCH: POWER PLANT at Russia’s largest alumina refinery ON FIRE

A major fire erupted at a thermal power plant in the Siberian town of Achinsk. The plant is part of the largest Russian alumina refinery which belongs to RUSAL, the world's second largest aluminium company.
The massive blaze was filmed by locals who shared their videos on Russian social network Vkontakte.
The videos show the blaze raging atop the power plant, with a tall column of thick black smoke stemming from it.
More coincidences I'm sure.

Industrial accident in shithole country with terrible safety protocols. More at 11.

LOL Alumina (Aluminum Oxide) is literally used as a fire retardant in many textiles because it usually exits as a tri-hydroxide state (bound with 3 water molecules) and is extremely stable and not going to be a cause for a fire or explosion.
Many rural large chemical and mineral manufacturing sites have to generate their own power and have their own power plants. That sounds like the source of fire here, not alumina.

I'm not saying you're wrong here, because I know exactly frick all about alumina, but I did read up on it a bit before I posted this thread.

So I guess it's only volatile when mixed with another fuel source?

Alumina has many industrial uses
Alumina is used for key industrial purposes other than producing aluminum. The production of spark plug insulators and metallic paint, and its use as a fuel component for solid rocket boosters are but a few examples.

This post looks hilarious sitting directly under Vox's graphic showing like 30 of these "industrial accidents" that have all taken place over just the last few days.
I could have predicted damn near exactly what you would say about this thread. Boring.

Well I'm not saying this is what is going on here, but I would remind folks that POTUS spoke about how we have weapons that are so powerful we "wouldn't believe it." And he said we are going to begin using them.

When was the last time the world went three days without some sort of an industrial fire? Probably the 1800’s? Your foil hat is a bit too tight

Don't worry about me, bud. I'll be alright.

Maybe it's most common use is sandpaper.

Eh, not really. I used to hold it and brought it to school for a project one time showing it and bauxite. I don't remember the rest, just that my dad brought me some of both. I didn't think it was toxic or dangerous at all, just a white powder.
It's not that nasty of shite.

Why? You know industrial accidents in shithole countries are pretty common, right?

Well, that's a bit ironic.

But how is it connected to Hillary Clinton?

He floated the theory that the Beirut blast was an energy beam sent from space by the space force. These people are fricking retarded.
