quote]Is your husband compensated? Did he choose his job? Is he able to take a day off? Do people riding on horses point guns at him while he works? [/quote]
I made it to page 5 reading your bullshite and this is where i feel the need to respond.
These inmates are compensated. The state gives them 3 hots and a cot plus chances at education.
An inmate can get a “duty status” and sit out of work if he needs a day off
Nobody points guns at these inmates. Guards are armed because they are maximum security inmates. Field crews are usually new inmates in the system. They can earn their way to medium security facilities.
To qualify my rebuttal, I guarantee I’ve been through those gates and interacted with those prisoners more than you could ever imagine in your most erotic fantasy.
Field workers are paid the least, just like in society where the laborer and ditch digger is paid the least.
There is a whole 2 ton truck that is the “water truck”. Their job is to supply water to the field crews through out the day.

Keep your prisoner fantasies to yourself

I’ve met many people in my career who prefer that lifestyle.
The only people I’ve met in my career who vocally preferred that “lifestyle” were so institutionalized after spending decades locked up that they could not function in society.

One even threatened to murder me to make it happen.
I’d like to hear this story.
ETA: just saw your edit and I have even more questions now
