I think you miss the point. You're correct..the Constitution makes it legal, but the question was asking for the reason for it. The logic behind it. What is it?

Then we will have country in shambles just like the country they are running from.

Why is it we don’t see protests in mehico like in the USA. The USA must be treating them better even if they are illegal.

Obviously your title is misleading. We do have an editing function, unless you just want to look like a barely-literate shithead.

It's not a policy. It's granted by the 14th amendment. You want to change it, lobby your congressmen or legislators to begin amendment proceedings.

The US and Canada are the only two wealthy countries on the list and that should tell you all you need to know.

Most other wealthy countries require at least one parent to be a natural born citizen.

It's being abused and you know it.
Women are literally paying people to get them into America just to have a kid. We don't have the resources to make every person in the world an American citizen.
Why can't regressives ever think with logic instead of only using emotion?

It's the law of the land. People take advantage of the flawed laws all the time.

I'm telling you what the law is. You're telling me why we shouldn't follow it because you have really, really compelling reasons for disregarding it. Who's being more dispassionate here?

in the 70's they changed immigration laws so it no longer required you have useful job or tradesman skills to come here so that you can find work and be productive.

they changed it to letting in anyone who wanted to come here, even unskilled unable to do meaningful work, as in unskilled laborers. that is also when they started chain migration.

if they go back to 1965 immigration policy, only those with job skills could come in, but only if they learned to speak english, and they had to stay employed or be deported

So, you admit it's a flawed law that should be changed?

I know what the law is. That's why my original comment was that we need to END it.

Flawed premise. All of the above are American births. An American is an American.
