All this talk about NFL boycotting

and ratings will not dip that much. NFL teams play in big cities that are mostly liberal. They will keep watching.
The rural south isn't a huge supporter of the NFL anyway and this is where the protesting is the biggest issue.

In most NFL cities a big part of their following comes from the burbs.

Nah. The four teams in the southeast are what is keeping the NFL afloat right now. Without the thousands of dollars they bring in, the NFL is done.

It's more than that and I do think there's a chance that ratings will be impacted in the near term. But the fact of the matter is that fans aren't going anywhere long term--at least not over this.
