Alberta invokes the Sovereignty Act

Canadians are pushing back against Trudeau. Canada needs regime change. If there are any Canada experts, maybe you can add some perspective and context here.
You can see on the map where Alberta is compared to Ottawa (capital of Canada).
Trudeau is trying to regulate electrical power in a scheme that is over reach to say the least. Alberta claims that this scheme is untenable and will throttle growth, lead to brown outs and black outs, etc.
This type of regulation is supposed to be left up to the provinces in Canada, and that is 'law' in Canada, not just a norm.
So, Alberta is pushing back. They say the Trudeau plan is "absurd, illogical, unscientific and unconstitutional interference...doesn't care about this province so long as they have a good virtue signaling story", which sounds a lot like Biden's general approach as well.
Sovereignty Act is a formal way of declaring their resistance to the federal interference, as I understand it.
It will be interesting to see how this plays out and if similar measures are taken here in the US, chiefly under the 9th and 10th Amendments, as the federal government continues to expand, interfere, snoop, and spy.

It seems like most of Canada would be almost ungovernable b/c of the remoteness, lack of population, and long winters.

Western provinces need to get the frick out.
Then Trump and a GOP Congress can admit them into the USA.

Alberta is the most conservative by Canadian standards. Would still be blue by American standards though.

The Hutterites aren't going to put up with Trudeau's over reach.

The should declare independence and maybe petition to become a US territory or state... but, we are not much better than cuck Trudeau.
I still believe that the United States would be MUCH larger and more free and independent, if states had an easy path to exit the union. Basically, the rest of the states wouldn't take advantage of them. i.e. Alaska (ANWAR) and their oil industry.

They need to figure something out, and Alberta is probably the only shot Canada has.
BTW - Canada is looking to change their civil rights law to include celebrating Christmas and Easter as being discriminatory in some way.

Isn't our own govt looking to shut down some NW dams that will do the same in that area? All to save salmon for the Injuns?

I know there's an issue with regard to water supply and the feds seem to be working against the tribes on that one. I don't know about a salmon issue.
