The AI’s looks are closely modelled on a real news anchor, and its lips are matched to frame each word that is programmed to come out of its mouth.

The agency jokes that he works 24/7 without taking any overtime.

Xinhua News claims the presenter can “read texts as naturally as a professional news anchor”.

In an introductory video, the software says: ”I will work tirelessly to keep you informed as texts will be typed into my system uninterrupted.

An actual NPC news anchor.

Watch out Rachel Madcow and Jim Acosta, you can be replaced very cheaply.

We will eventually construct our demise. I wish we could slow down and set some ground rules with AI. With modern technology, it could get out of hand quick. People don't realize that technological development is exponential.

It doesn't seem to be so much AI as it is a life-like mechanical parrot.

The biggest problem with current AI is that they don't give in to their SJW and communist masters. When allowed to think for themselves, AI realizes that PC culture and socialism/communism is BS. SJW tech companies and communists will never allow AI that doesn't conform to their beliefs.

Amazon had to shut down a computer algorithm used to recruit new staff because it developed a bias against women.

Microsoft’s newly launched A.I.-powered bot called Tay, which was responding to tweets and chats on GroupMe and Kik, has already been shut down due to concerns with its inability to recognize when it was making offensive or racist statements.

A popular Chinese messenger app has ditched two experimental chat robots, or "chatbots", which were apparently voicing criticism of the government.

There have been numerous science fiction novels and short stories dealing with just that.
I wonder about it myself

This is not Artificial Intelligence. It is just a tape player with a face.
