You still have to go to said gas station, you still have to get out of your car, spend 3-5 minutes getting gas once, maybe twice per week depending on how much you drive, you still have to deal with shitty people who hang around gas stations.
Paying at the pump changes nothing of the above, compared about 7 seconds, roughly speaking, to plug in a car in your garage.
