Maybe if you say "SCIENCE!" a few more times you can really convince yourself of the veracity in the talking points you've been given. Try hard, now, you can do it. It's tough to rationalize this after all, good thing you got newspeak language to make yourself feel better. Just say things like "fetus" or "non-sentient", it helps create necessary ambiguity and moral distance while you doublethink through it. Dehumanize that human development!
