Incumbent governor who has lead every poll since the primary against a political novice running a terrible campaign and his reelection is "stunning"?

Upsetting to people that want the state to get off its express train to permanent shithole status, sure.

But stunning?

That's a laugher.

It’s a moral victory for those progs. Let them have their moment while the state continues to fail.

It’s better than it was with your buddy Jindal.

If your only source for news was this board you'd think it was stunning, too!

It was stunning. Any halfway competent candidate beats JBE by 20 points. Rispone is a disgrace.

Add to that the positive media coverage, as seen right here with the stunning article.

It’s been on that train since the civil war dude. This has very little/nothing to do with jbe. It would still be on that train if rispone has won. The state sucks and it’s going to take someone that’s not of the “walk the line Republican/Democrat” mold to even begin to fix all the shite that’s wrong.

I have learned this about Journalism, never trust a political headline, now there is just too much spin in today’s headlines. No more simple “Edwards Defeats Rispone.” They have to add their 2 cents using words like stunning and “despite Trump’s help.”

Without Trump’s help the race probably would have been 60/40 in favor of Edwards.

I was a Rispone voter, but as others have said, Rispone lacked a clear vision other than vote for him because he was with Trump and he is not JBE. I did not hear Rispone talk about coastal restoration, road improvements, and hurricane protection.

Honestly I can’t be upset with JBE. Tax and spend Democrats gonna tax and spend.

But frick the Advocate sideways with a 2x4 spiked with rusty nails covered in hepatitis.

They did more to cover for JBE than his own campaign. Disgusting.
