I absolutely understand the charges. Several of those charges were charged against the individuals who decided to get their 15 minutes of fame.

This board is usually very skeptical of corporate media, U.S. security state reports, and warmongering in general. The bloodlust to immediately level Gaza is a bit much. I was cheering it on at first, but have backed off the last few days. If you follow alt/non-western media on Ukraine, then you should be doing it here, too.

Dude, there's this little thing called "intent" that a court and/or jury takes in to account.
What happened today was violent intent. Yes, they trespassed. But they gathered in one area, "peacefully", and demonstrated.
Jan 6th was a free for all and when the levies broke, idiots were climbing, running around and looting the capitol.

Obstructing an official proceeding doesn’t require violence as one of the elements. The elements were met by today’s insurrection participants. Any of the other bullshite you bring up to obfuscate doesn’t change that. I thought you said you were aware of the charges.

It’s called mens rea. And the mens rea required for obstructing an official proceeding is simply intending to disrupt an official proceeding. No requirement or discussion of violence at all.
