Breaking: Though he was not at the Capitol riot on Jan. 6, former Proud Boys leader Enrique Tarrio was convicted by a jury of seditious conspiracy and obstructing official proceedings. He has been sentenced to 22 years in prison, the longest for anyone charged over Jan. 6.

There will be eventually be a reckoning, laws of nature. Hopefully it will be swift, just, and comprehensive. But it absolutely needs to happen.

I'd say that was yesterday. 22 years worth of reckoning.

Damn, many people don't spend 22 years in jail for murder.

For what? He wasn't at the capitol and was not involved in any skirmishes or knocking down of parking cones (which we now know is equivalent to 9/11)

I bet you think the state will always protect and take care of you, and not discard you the second your no longer neeeded.

The judge said he orchestrated Jan 6th lol. Surely that’s a reach?

Seditious conspiracy and obstructing official duties, etc.

He wasn't at the Capitol but was directing the entire Proud Boy assault from Arlington. The jury believed the prosecution proved he wasn't physically there just for this deniability, but was still ultimately responsible.

This is pretty easy. Don't frick around, then whine when you find out.

So did we forget this guy worked with the FBI as an informant? This guy won't serve a day. This was sentence was for this headline only. They were hoping for a lot more than mall walkers on J6, but they jailed them just the same.

Guess who said this:

quote:

"Careful what the frick you ask for we don't want to start one...but we will sure as frick finish one."

Also, I'm reading his indictment. The Proud Boys planned (and did) a bit more than protesting on Jan 6. They literally coordinated attacks against capitol police with a goal of illegally entering Congress to stop an official Congressional proceeding.

This isn't some random person who was honestly protesting and got caught up or did something silly after he was "let in" the building.
