ACLU is very clearly increasingly beholden to big money partisan donors
I've posted about this before, but following the 2016 election, the number of donations to the ACLU absolutely skyrocketed. They ceased being a small, relatively impartial organization focused squarely on civil liberties and hitched their wagon to the Hollywood/MSM/social media outrage du jour.

I remember when they defended Nazi's marching in Skokie, Ill.
That worm has turned.
That worm has turned.

It's a shame what the ACLU has become
They should be for civil liberties and defending constitutional rights
Not this bullshite
They always leaned left but remembered who they were. Charlottesville happened, the money came pouring in from liberals and they went and got them a PD to keep the flood gates open.
Protecting civil liberties doesn’t pay but there’s a shite ton of dimes to be made in the year of Lord & Savior Trump.

This bullshite started out as just, "this isn't a reasonable- doubt standard," which is technically true, to "there is no presumption of innocence," which is categorically absurd.
There is always a presumption against the person who has the burden to show/prove something (and in favor of the accused)--that's the very reason that burden exists. The weight of the burden is a different issue from who has to carry it.
I don't care what the forum, or if I'm just walking down the street, if someone accuses me of harming him or her, they have a burden of showing that.
You'd think an ACLU lawyer would get that.
And the, this is a job interview so there are no standards whatsoever is a dangerous precedent to set, regardless of political party.
I have a final cost-benefit analysis I've been hashing out, but I'm too tired for it right now. This shite is exhausting.

it's not just that. it's legit guilt. they fought for the alt-right people to protest at C-ville
after that they changed their standards on speech and with this Kav stuff they're announcing their partisan bias

Like most of these leftist cucks, ACLU beta couldn't debate on the merit, resorts to strawman arguments muh standing up for all women, job interview, no presumption of innocence
I think the job interview talking point is my favorite. Just wait until someone defends their practice of not hiring minorities, women, etc by arguing that the company suspected the applicant had gotten emotional at some point in their life and had thrown ice while in college and the applicant could not prove their innocence. Therefore, no job for them
I’m really hoping some lib gets fired because they were accused of something (that they really are innocent of) and can’t prove their innocence. I want the lib to sue and the case to get to the SC. I picture a 4-4 split with the deciding vote belonging to Kavanaugh. Can you imagine the meltdown that would take place?

There were two kids outside SCOTUS this afternoon with ACLU signs approaching people. We were walking by and one kid comes up and asks "Would you like to support civil liberty?"
I replied "We like Rand Paul. We're good." without stopping.
Kid was left speechless. About eight feet behind us he yells, "Have a good day."
