What the hell did you expect the Cop to do?

It's really tough being a Cop right now. Prayers sent to the blue lives.

Expect this to evolve to an admission that he shot the cop with the taser, but only after Sherman’s march to the sea has been recreated.

Cop should have taken the shock. He has insurance.

Did they mention he was also resisting arrest and fleeing from the scene? I doubt it!

If someone other than a cop pointed a taser at me, Joe Citizen, I’d shoot him.

He was sarcastically mocking people who claim it's no big deal to burn businesses down because they have insurance.

You should feel silly that I had to explain this to you.

If a taser is going to be classified as a deadly weapon in this case, you can say goodbye to cops having tasers from now on.

So:

No more chokeholds
No more tear gas
No more batons
No more tasers

What’s next? You all know where this is going...

Guess that leaves bullets and cars unless the old style blackjack comes back.

And technically mace isn’t tear gas.

Why can’t they just comply. I just don’t get it? Lay down. Hands behind your back and just let them take you away. That’s what I would do. Fighting, reaching for weapons, etc. just not asking for a good outcome. Just stop resisting. God dammit this isn’t difficult.

Meh. He/she didn’t do a very good job eliciting that sentiment. The downvoteS prove my point.

A local community force to replace police wearing like brown shirts or something so we know who the good guys are.

If you are flying high on something, you aren’t thinking clearly.

Or if you are a felon or on parole like Alton Sterling, getting busted again means a long time behind bars so you would rather fight.

Educate yourself you poor dumb fool...

Primary Holding
Under the Fourth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, a police officer may use deadly force to prevent the escape of a fleeing suspect only if the officer has a good-faith belief that the suspect poses a significant threat of death or serious physical injury to the officer or others.

Facts
A state police officer shot and killed Garner as he was fleeing the scene of the crime. Despite knowing that Garner was unarmed, the police officer believed that he was justified in shooting him to prevent his escape. Garner's father brought a constitutional challenge to the Tennessee statute that authorized the use of deadly force in this situation. The state prevailed in the trial court, but the state appellate court ruled that the statute was unconstitutional.
