Executives at ABC now believe that their decision to fire Roseanne Barr from their revival of Roseanne was a mistake and the network’s spin-off series The Conners may flop, according to a report from Mail Online.
Two senior executives at the network told the outlet that ABC President Channing Dungey’s decision to immediately fire the actress and cancel her show after she made racially charged comments about former Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett was a “knee-jerk” decision that they would later regret.

“We didn’t think it through properly. What Roseanne did was wrong but we shouldn’t have rushed to fire her. It was almost a knee-jerk reaction by Ben [Sherwood] and Channing [Dungey] who should have launched an investigation,” one insider reportedly said. “This would have given them more time to listen to the public, advertisers and cast members to determine the best decision.”

No shite, posted on M/TV too. Belongs both places IMO.

How the hell you supposed to have Roseanne without Roseanne?

That's what happens when you make decisions based on emotion. Considering leftists spend their lives making bad decisions, you'd think they would learn eventually.

The last month or so has been a genesis of some real conversation on this PC culture backfiring. This is a good thing and I hope it can continue.

ABC executives don't think a lot of things through properly. Besides the Roseanne fiasco, they cancelled one of their most popular shows Last Man Standing. Fox picked it up and its their highest rated sitcom in YEARS and its more than doubling the ratings for the show that replaced it on ABC in that time slot.

Libs are never going to watch it and they alienated their existing audience when fhey axed Roseanne. It's going to tank.

Plus I imagine Sara Gilbert has more producing power now which will push the show hard left. Her personal contribution to the reboot was the cross dressing boy. I imagine she's got more great ideas.

Made somebody feel good for a day or two. Kinda like the Chris Matthews warm tingly feeling down his leg.

Didn't Rosanne say that VJ looked like an ape from the movies that was actually Helena Bottom Carter (a white woman) in ape costume make-up?

I'm still confused.

Duh.

This is what I really don't understand about the current SJW outrage mob mentality. If the people calling for the boycott/firing of Roseanne weren't the target demo/didn't watch it anyway, why try and appease them?

Just wondering how many on TD PB still have shares, in your 401k and other places, with these "bad decision" entities.
