Funny, I know several AA's that voted for Trump. They could not stand Hillary any longer and the fact that they were "supposed" to vote for her...

It is historically accurate but the democrat and republican parties of today are not the same as the democrat and republican parties of the time the time of the founding of the KKK. I thought we'd progressed past these kinds of disingenuous talking points.

Just because democrats want to pretend their history doesn't exist, doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Pretending like Republicans are responsible for what the democrats did historically is asinine and dishonest. Democrats are lucky they have good PR.

All I'm saying is there was a seismic shift in party ideology (for both) between Reconstruction and now

At what point during this supposed shift did the KKK become the militant arm of the Republican party as it was for the democrat party? Give me the year it happened, who made the decision, and who from the Republicans coordinated their efforts.

Considering his alleged raging substance abuse problem, he probably shouldn't to that.

Ideas can't be dangerous, sure action inspired by bad ideas can be dangerous, but freedom of thought and critical thinking is never the problem. Anytime someone is talking about a dangerous idea, you know they are on the losing side of the argument.

It didn't. I literally said it's absurd to associate the KKK and the Repub party. Calm your tits

I'm very calm. We're dealing with facts. So, we can all agree that the KKK is a group has only been affiliated with one party, and that is the democrat party.

And it wasn’t just Donald Trump who won last night—it was his supporters too. The Klan won last night. White nationalists. Sexists, racists and buffoons. Angry young white men who think rap music and Cinco de Mayo are a threat to their way of life (or are the reason for their way of life) have been given cause to celebrate. Men who have no right to call themselves that and who think that women who aspire to more than looking hot are shrill, ugly, and otherwise worthy of our scorn rather than our admiration struck a blow for misogynistic shitheads everywhere. Hate was given hope. Abject dumbness was glamorized as being “the fresh voice of an outsider” who’s going to “shake things up.” (Did anyone bother to ask how? Is he going to re-arrange the chairs in the Roosevelt Room?) For the next four years, the President of the United States, the same office held by Washington and Jefferson, Lincoln and Teddy Roosevelt, F.D.R., J.F.K. and Barack Obama, will be held by a man-boy who’ll spend his hours exacting Twitter vengeance against all who criticize him (and those numbers will be legion). We’ve embarrassed ourselves in front of our children and the world.

This paragraph is proof that the blue collar Democrats who were laughed and ridiculed out of the Democratic party were 100% CORRECT in voting for Donald Trump.

So my point stands. When on earth did the democrats' militant arm of their party get owned by the republicans. They weren't Dixiecans, they were Dixiecrats.

In the eyes of those that believe the Republican Party is the KKK party, probably around when the Dixiecrats began jumping ship for the Republican Party

There hasn't been that much stupid and that much ignorance on one page since Geneva awarded Obama the Nobel Peace Prize.
