Liberals see the world as being divided between "white oppressors" and "other". They see themselves as "other" (regardless of their own race), thus every other group not part of "white oppressors" must be just like themselves. They see themselves as freedom fighters against the "injustice" of "oppression" (which is whatever they need it to be to justify their... errr.... jihad). So when they succeed in "freeing" some "oppressed" group, they expect that group to be every bit as Leftist-tolerant (tolerant to Leftist causes/philosophy) as they are. It's always a surprise to them when these groups not only reject their stances, but then turn on them.
