A Partner Approach to a Growing Threat

The recently released U.S. counterterrorism strategy makes a notable acknowledgment. The strategy commits to working with European partners to counter covert state actions, including sabotage and assassination plots, categorized as “hybrid threats.”

Cool. That is great. Who better to partner with than the terrorist enablers themselves. I mean just look at how well they have handled their own countries. Bring in the enemy at all cost. Sounds like a great plan.

Modern Government is comparable to what human resources is to a corporation.
HR is there, presented as "a friend and ally of the employee", when their training and handbook is literally to protect the company from the employee. I have an acquaintance who had once risen to very high levels in the Walmart Corporate HR chain. She left the company (and ridiculously good money) because her conscience couldn't handle how she was forced to present her intent as opposed to what was actually her responsibility and duty.
Government is similar. "Of the People, by the People and for the People". That's the illusion. But everything over the last 115 years or so, is thoroughly indicative that the government is only interested in preserving itself and protecting itself from We the People. We are just the cattle in the herd that continue pumping our tax dollars into a mega-machine that uses those dollars to keep itself insulated. And unlike my acquaintance, these people have no conscience and will not turn down massive pay increases to keep doing unethical things.
If and when they get the "backdoor" around the Second Amendment through the UN like they've been trying to do for years, it's officially over in that moment.

Like everyone else, I can only see what's before my eyes and everything I see from Europe is a lost cause.
We should remove all military and withdraw from NATO.
Seal up our hemisphere, continue to build up our military, industrial, manufacturing, technology and seal ourselves off from all this bullshite outside of the western hemisphere.

I'm pointing out our obvious problems and the very predictable outcomes of where this is all headed.
There's a difference between that and making a claim that there's someplace I'd rather be, is there not?
I sound the alarm, loudly, because I give a crap and I want people to be ready for what is to come. It's nothing that hasn't been seen before. History never repeats itself, but it sure does have a tendency to rhyme. What's worse, is that it's unstoppable. The gears are in motion, moving one direction, and the only thing that changes with the ebb and flow of political pendulum throes, is the speed of rotation.
There's a contrast here that, I believe, evaded your perception.

I laughed at the HR Wal Mart Analogy.
I worked in corporate America for almost 40 years in four different companies. I watched HR move from a merit based organization with a white male, to the following over the years....a female lesbian, a black female, a hispanic female, to a black lesbian handicapped female...that was it for me.

I believe it, man. My acquaintance left for those reasons as well. She's white, hyper-intelligent, a mother and devout Christian. I'm sure she saw the writing on the wall, even with her unparalleled work ethic.

So basically this boils down to more taxpayer funding for the defense of the EU. WWII ended in 1945, and the Cold War ended in 1991. We’re still providing for the collective defense of Europe 35 years since the collapse of the Soviet Union. We don’t owe anything to them, but they sure do owe a lot to us.
