OP is correct. Today’s GOPe has as much in common with RR as today’s Dems do with JFK.
Bush 1 was an old Intelligence spook and he knew how to play the DC game. He “dutifully” played his role of VP for eight years which in turn, helped him parlay into his own successful election as President.
Bush 1 then unleashed his style of Northeastern “compassionate conservatism” and spoke of “the new world order” which back in that day didn’t trigger any alarms and sounded noble...but through the perspective of everything that has transpired in these decades post-RR, is in fact quite sobering.

Social Conservatives and in particular the pro-life movement are the only reason the GOP is partly competitive a lot of races. With out the pro-life plank the GOP would be dead.

"the Uniparty"
Tell the out-of-state XL pipeline workers, the girls who will be suiting up to play against transgender athletes, and the illegal immigrants who will not be deported about the so-called uniparty.

the RINOs are the ones who truly stole the election and Pence was a rino planted right in the admin. What if Trump had not been so insulting to the bushes and mccain and romney during the primaries: do they still go after Trump so hard or were they really just about keeping the immigration pipeline going?

Trump who was the most pro-life president since R v Wade. That Trump? I am stating that based on his policies enacted not on "he probably did x,y, z" BS.
