A few months ago, some knucklehead claimed the frame was being retired. After it had just completed a remodel into the Super A-10.
If you were never involved with military, simply shut up and go for the ride. You may get a huge surprise!

The wing spars have to be replaced. Gross negligence committed by Air Force Inc, and most notably Lockheed Martin who for years tried to sell the F-16 as a replacement. The Congress may not do anything right, but they kept the A-10 in active service, infuriating AF brass in the process.
