I support his, the players and anyone else's right to peacefully make their opinions known. However, exercising that right doesn't exempt you from the consequences.

Trump never said they didn't have the right to protest.

He merely gave his opinion that is is disrespectful and that it would be nice if NFL owners would fire them (which is certainly their right).

I imagine the only person that really has a say here is the team owners. If his employer allows it, more power to him.

Nah, the Soviets told their soldiers what to think and feel. If they disagreed they were either shot or sent to the gulag.

Is it time to enact those policies in the "free world"?

Well done Mr Middlemas! A member of our 'Greatest Generation' gets it. Pls pass it along to the POTUS who sadly does not....
In fact pls tell him to focus his time and energy on the thousands of Americans who still don't have power, homes, etc in FL and TX. Ask him to put forth some realistic and attainable concepts for improved health care, and some measurable data points for tax reform. Thanks!
