How did they threaten their workplace by signing an open letter asking that she put a pause on the nomination process until after the election?

I wasn't replying to you but OK. I actually think Abu's post stated quite clearly my viewpoint of the University as well (Read it...I'm going to bed).

I believe intellectual diversity at a University is a good thing. I don't want some professor to tell me how to think. I want to be free to make up my own mind, my own worldview and my own political beliefs. Isn't conservatism in support of freedom? At least that's how I view it.

If you no longer love or support Notre Dame then support a conservative Catholic university more to your liking such as Ava Maria University.

Actually I do support true Catholic Universities like University of Mary. I believe in academic freedom but I also believe that we have a duty to uphold Catholic moral teaching. Otherwise what makes us Catholic?

Thanks for the offer to support another university but I hold out hope and pray for repentance and obedience to Catholic teaching.

Academic freedom does not mean you abandon morals.

I totally agree "Academic freedom does not mean you abandon morals." I have no problem doing both and from my viewpoint as an alumni neither does Notre Dame.

They are still librarians and professors teaching worthless subjects. Meanwhile ACB is on her way to sit on the Supreme Court. :eyeroll:

Yes these loons are free to voice their retarded opinions and we’re free to shite on them on this message board. Nobody is calling for their arrests, Although the country and the world would be better off if such loons were removed from society.

As a non-alumni but concerned Catholic parent of a 17-year-old heading off to college… My most pressing question is which university offers the best chance for my kid to receive a quality education BUT remain Catholic (faithful Catholic, not the Biden/Pelosi cafeteria variety)?

From everything I read, my child has an exceptionally higher opportunity of remaining Catholic attending Texas A&M - where a vibrant Catholic community exists - than Notre Dane which seems more committed to SJW than Catholic doctrine.

Stated another way, after paying an exorbitant amount of money at ND, I’m more likely to be releasing an indoctrinated SJW into the world rather than a faithful Catholic.

The important decision of where your child goes to college is between you and them. Many factors come into play including intellectual ability, financial considerations and other factors. If that which you listed in your post is your key criteria in you guiding your child to A&M, then that’s again between you & them.

I will say this, Amy Coney Barrett, a Notre Dame alumni, basically shows the fallacy and ridiculousness of your argument.
