My only concern is if they won't be deployed with a propper combat load.

If the Marines have to stand there and take a bunch of crap like LAPD/SO and the CA NG did, then what's the point? We are so wussified, that we won't even deploy fire hoses to disperse crowds. It's hard to image that leadership will allow the Marines to handle up - hope I'm wrong. It will be so demoralizing for some 0300 devil dogs to have to take shite off the crowd, when they are trained to slay bodies.
