That’s so weird that you don’t realize that Nazis have killed over 3100 people in the US since 2001. Not sure how you missed that .
Yeah, I guess I missed that part. How many people have Islamic terrorist killed just this year?
CBS isn't only fake news, it's purposefully deceiving people.

Didn't know that show was still on. We only watch Netflix and amazon video now. We have to get through the catalog before AT&T shuts off our DSL and puts us on dial up.

“But the fact is , since 911 twice as many have been killed by white supremacists” .
“ Charlottesville was a seminal moment - look like white fraternity guys in polo shirts or our kids - that’s the changing face of hate”.
“ 74% of extremist- related killings in last ten years have been carried out by RIGHT WING extremists.”.
“ Dylan Roof “ reference. The one we never get when a Prog goes batshit homicidal.
Overall - never said Conservative or Trump .
Did make Nazi’s “ right wing” instead of Socialist .
I’m sober . Damn it . I hate when I’m sober.

The National Socialist party was never socialist and the Klan wasn't filled with Democrats, according to regressive propaganda.

All 60 minutes did was state that it was a fact but gave absolutely no sources or data to back them up. They could have just ran the guys story and it would have been fine but that wasn’t good enough for them I guess.

1 minute on Google seems pretty clear they are citing the ADL in their piece:
quote:
Over the past 10 years (2007-2016), domestic extremists of all kinds have killed at least 372 people in the United States. Of those deaths, approximately 74% were at the hands of right-wing extremists, about 24% of the victims were killed by domestic Islamic extremists, and the remainder were killed by left-wing extremists.
Though not the most lethal, in some ways the most troubling extremist-related murders that occurred in 2016 were the murders of police officers at the hands of black nationalists. Eight police officers were killed in two incidents in which extremists deliberately targeted police officers for murder. In July 2016, Micah Xavier Johnson, who had ties to black nationalist groups such as the New Black Panther Party, killed five police officers (and injured nine others) in Dallas, Texas, in an ambush attack aimed at police maintaining public order at a Black Lives Matter protest.
That same month, Gavin Eugene Long ambushed and shot six police officers, three of them fatally, in Baton Rouge. Long was an adherent of black nationalism as well as the anti-government sovereign citizen movement. Both incidents were acts of retaliation against police officers in response to controversial police shootings of African-American men.
The year 2016 was unusual in that right-wing extremists did not dominate the murder statistics, as they have each year for more than 30 years. Anti-government extremists and white supremacists were responsible for only a minority of extremist related deaths in 2016, though they did commit two triple homicides.
These low figures also occurred during a year in which non-violent right-wing extremist activity was high, in large part due to agitation and propaganda by the so-called alt-right and other extremists in connection with the 2016 presidential election.

There are almost as many Neo-Nazis as there are radical islamic terrorists

Because they are scared shitless that white people are waking up to the slow-grinding erasure of their culture and history.
Segment was a total joke involving a nobody going through a really bad teenage rebellion phase, any rational observer would immediately recognize the Neo-Nazis are the fringe's fringe and not respected by anyone who takes themselves seriously. Even other people in the "alt-right" hate these guys because they're total clowns.
But they run this segment and then make sure to have the sock puppet talk about how Neo-Nazis are worried about the preservation of white culture and history, which is a concern a reasonable person could have without ever wanting anything to do with Neo-Nazis, so that good old Johnny who still watches the news and trusts what they're telling him starts to associate a respect for his history with fringe terrorist goons, and is that little bit less likely to resist the erosion of his history in small increments over time.
They want you to know these fringe lunatics exist and want you to be deathly afraid of them, so that you wouldn't dare do anything that could be associated with them, like want to preserve your heritage against constant subversion and subliminal attack.

You answered your own question. You can't exploit racial tension without racial tension.

Hey - I missed that too
when did these slaughters take place? are there ovens set up somewhere that I missed??
They couldnt be referring to that rash of lynchings could they? those pore soles hanging from the arm of every tree on main street were hard to avoid, but those where the KKKer's work - not the Nazi's.
I must have been dozing off more than I thought these past 15 years.

That is an interesting question on many levels.
Part of the problem is each side would like to sweep their extremist art of the party under the rug. The vast majority of Republicans have no connection with the White Nationalists nor any of the other far right/alt-right groups the same as most Democrats have no connection to the far left/progressive groups. However, both are dangerous and should be labeled as such. Politicians too often dance around the issue when they need to speak out against them.
The question remains should we shed light on these groups or not. I personally think we should. The White Nationalists have adopted a more undercover approach to recruiting and organizing and I am not sure that most people realize this is going on. It is easy to think these groups have simply died out. I think we should keep the lights on. Just today I saw a post here with the (((echo))) surrounding a word in the triple parenthesis. This originated from White Nationalists blogs and is beginning to leak into the mainstream. Whether it is being used unwittingly or not it is a dog whistle.
I don't see White Nationalists as an immediate existential threat but they bear watching even if some of the far left is potentially more of a threat at this moment.
