Also the drop depends on when we start the economy back up.

If most of the states open back up after April 30th then the 2nd Q won’t look too bad

Only if we reopen most of the economy in a few weeks. Stay closer 2 more months and it becomes structural because thousands of businesses will go bankrupt. The stimulus will only float business and people for a short term

This is the opportunity they have been looking for. Get rid of paper money, go all electronic push for a global currency, blah, blah, blah, blah.

This is the perfect scenario for the communist/socialist crowd.

In fact, what we need is for companies to accept losing money for a while in the interest of remaining viable long-term. This is where the small business loans come into play.

Companies are in business to make money. Give a loan to a business that isn't making money?! Is this serious?! Surely not... this type of high risk loan sounds horrible... oh but the government will back these sub prime loans. Sound familiar??????

For the week ending in March 21, Ohio reported reported 187,780 initial jobless claims to U.S. Dept. of Labor. The week earlier, the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services reported 7,042 claims.

And that was just the first week, non essentials were not even closed yet.

And last I checked everybody's job is essential, THAT IS HOW WE MAKE MONEY!

This is classic communism, keep essential businesses and ditch the entrepreneurs. You mark my words the govt will be handing out jobs along with paychecks. Karl Marx would be beside himself if he knew all he needed was the flu to take down the whole world.

If we keep running up the debt with "stimulus" it's going to be a structural problem. Though existential may be a better word.

32% unemployment is going to look like a bright future.

Climate Communists, unable to convincingly scare the world into dismantling our modern capitalist society through a slow moving climate "crisis" have resorted to a pandemic to a) kill off a chunk of consumers immediately, which helps b) scare the populous into an economic lockdown that crashes the debt super-cylcle and destroys capitalism.

Greta was their last try - save the children - before going with the pandemic which was cooked up in a lab and first released in China to throw everyone off the scent of the real culprits. Now we can only save ourselves by turning to government to keep us safe and provided us with crumbs for our sustenance as the capitalist supply chain breaks down.

Are we willing to fight for what they are taking?

This ...yes, fricking yessss!!!

I am starting to believe this more and more. And who are the biggest global warming fear mongers, THE MEDIA. Such a three for one, destroy capitalism, institute soc/communism, and hang it on Trump.

I mean if you are liberal you are literally jumping for joy at this point, these are long term dreams come true. All while a reality TV star sat as President. Trump is great at making fun at the media so he won the battles, but the media won the war.

Shame on us.
