So says the St Louis Fed. Yesterday Kohl's and Macy's essentially laid off/furloughed over 130,00 workers. Someone needs to let Antny in DC know that if this lasts beyond May 1, COVID 19 may be down the list that he and the politicians need to worry about.

This would be 3 times as big of a crash in gdp in history. The printing press (well they use excel now) will be running over time. USSR at this point, almost total central government control of finance.

Worked out well for them, what could go wrong?

Highest rate of unemployment in the great depression was 25%.

But don't mind me, all the idiots on this board are convinced we'll be back to normal by summer. A year, tops.

truth.. better start hiding what $'s you have left. 4 trillion in new debt alone this year added to the mountain means either serious dollar devaluation or 50% taxes.

But man think about Aunt Dorthy who’s 83, is morbidly obese, has asthma and smokes two packs a day. Is your job more important than her life?

How much of that 32% is full unemployment and how much of that is partial from “reduced” hours?

The worst year for the Great Depression, the unemployment rate was 25%. Some estimate that 10% of NYC population died from starvation during the Depression.

You have a big garden? Livestock?

Hardly anyone does.

Our "leaders" are playing a very dangerous game that could very well end in widescale misery like we have never seen.
