$300 million dollar plant in Alabama

Airbus announced on Wednesday that it will create 400 jobs at a new factory to produce its A220 aircraft in Mobile, Alabama.
The European plane manufacturer announced the plans at a groundbreaking ceremony for the $300 million factory, which will neighbor an existing site that builds its A320 passenger jet and employs 700 people, according to Reuters.

Maybe if the tariffs gives Boeing more IP protection as is the goal and they continue to build that huge plant in China the folks that might lose their jobs in the US can move to Alabama and work for Airbus.

That's great and I'm glad to see the businesses coming to the South. I do however wonder about the low number of $300 million dollar plant. That is really a low price to build a manufacturing facility. That wouldn't build a mid sized unit in a refinery or chem plant.

Announcements like this make me irritated of the anti-business atmosphere currently in existence in LA.
Two plants just announce layoffs in LA. GA-Pacific and BASF in Zachary.
But I am sure the taxes to pay for that $100m+ teacher pay raise will have them beating down our door!
