Has anyone ever figured out why he thinks Windmills cause cancer? Is there some wacko study out there that got dropped on his desk at some point or something? It's still one of the weirdest things I've ever heard.

Awesome! Real talk, I appreciate you doing the legwork of finding actual easily searchable studies.

Fun fact, going through these articles I couldn't find cancer listed even once as a potential health risk related to wind turbines. So again, where did he get this from?

Are you implying there are no studies on cancer risks and windmills or are you too lazy to do your own work to find out for yourself?

There’s thousands of studies. This is just one library of peer reviewed studies/articles.

thanks for linking, its an interesting topic

this is from the abstract, looks like they couldn't find any issues in this study

quote:

While wind power is considered key in the transition towards net zero, there are concerns
about adverse health impacts on nearby residents. Based on precise geographical
coordinates, we link a representative longitudinal household panel to all wind turbines in
Germany and exploit their staggered rollout over two decades for identification. We do
not find evidence of negative effects on general, mental, or physical health in the 12-Item
Short Form Survey (SF- 12), nor on self-assessed health or doctor visits. We also do not find
evidence for effects on suicides, an extreme measure of negative mental health outcomes,
at the county level.
