Texas voter registrations hit a record high of more than 19 million ahead of the pivotal midterm election on Nov. 3.
Registrations are up 2.2% from the last major general election in November 2024, and up 2% from primary elections in March, according to a Friday release from the Texas Secretary of State. The latest figures are also 7.7% higher than the last midterm elections in November 2022.
Fast-growing suburban counties saw some of the biggest growths since the last midterms, including Kaufman (27% more registered voters), Waller (23%), Ellis (21%) and Hays (21%).

Any Texas people know the political leanings of these suburban counties?

Three are solidly Republican; Hays is the Democratic-leaning exception. Using the 2024 presidential results as a common benchmark:
County Political leaning 2024 presidential result
Kaufman Solid Republican Trump by about 28 points, roughly 64%–36%.
Waller Solid Republican Trump by about 25 points, 62%–37%.
Ellis Solid Republican Trump by about 31 points, 65%–34%.
Hays Democratic-leaning, but more competitive Harris by about 6 points, 52%–46%.

Kaufman , Waller: 60% GOP in the past,
Recent growth (Kaufman) is Dem
Waller is home to PVU

This plus the traitors not passing the SAVE Act is likely not a good thing.

This is why Dems pushed so hard for high density housing in areas of single family homes. Basically, they wanted to bring the hood to the suburbs and flip counties. It is working.
