This is sad, tragic, and horrible. I worry about my grandchildrens future, but I'm grateful that we live in the deep south where this insanity isn't an issue.
If it ever begins to become an issue, it won't be for long.

They mattered a very long time ago to people long gone.
They don’t matter to now to people living today.

I don’t disagree about many murders committed. Where we disagree is that itt has always only been this one race. Maybe we can agree there. Maybe we won’t. I don’t see a need to go back and forth any more. We both have our own opinions.

Yes times changed. That doesn’t bother me. Disregarding what happened in the past and saying it doesn’t matter, bothers me. People should be better today, but they aren’t. Hopefully we can at least agree on that.

Start practicing what you preach and I’ll change my tune. It’s that simple. People like you don’t actually care about racism, bigotry, etc, so why should I? In fact, once you and your people are fully in power, I imagine your retribution will be much worse than any white man’s violence ever was

What do you mean by disregarding? Are we supposed to retroactively compensate and punish people who have been dead for 200 years before we're allowed to acknowledge and fix wrongs being done today? You're not really saying anything other than "I'm offended by your opinion."

Previous poster said murders from the past don’t matter. Only the ones today. That was disregarding. None of those people can be compensated for the loss..I know that. I suppose I’m offended by that response and I don’t think that’s irrational. I guess you do. Bottom line..we all wish this was a better world, but evil will continue to evil.
