I think there is a place for fake news, at least in the style of the Onion. Everyone knows that's just entertainment. But the problem here lately is that there are so many lackwits who really and truly believe all this nonsense and have no idea they are being duped. The rise of fake news will only make an already ignorant population even worse imho.
