Either change the name or leave it alone, let's drop this news story.

Its not like breaking new pieces to the story will come out.

We know all we need to know.

Some native Americans are offended. Redskin ownership and fans don't want to change the name.

I guess the NFL needs to step in and make a decision and end this bull shite

I guess when the season starts this issue will be on the back pages

They're not going to let it die until he changes. I don't think he should change it but I don't really care that much

It won't go away until the name is changed. There will be high volume times and low volume times but it will never fully go away as long as the critics have an outlet and get a response.

I never hear about it since I don't have ESPN.

With political establishment in DC getting involved it's even more high profile.
If this was anywhere else no one would care.
NFL needs to just remove all nicknames.

Same. This is the first I've heard of it since the last thread about it on here a month or so ago. The Pats are practicing with the Redskins and I haven't read anything about it.

Life without sports radio/TV is a much more peaceful one

Seems like the NFL and Dan Snider would both benefit (make even more money).

Change the name and create new merchandise. Forces fans to buy said new merchandise.
