I feel like these guys don't get near the respect they deserve.but I have almost every one of their albums on vinyl. They've sold over 70 million records with 14 platinum and gold discs. Their ability of combining classical music with rock is fairly rare to the genre. They are long past their original lineup, but when in the late sixties they were phenomenal.

Graeme Edge was a great drummer. They really hit their peak in '67 with the addition of Haywood and Lodge but continued to produce great albums through the 70's and 80's. They also transition very well to their live shows which I think is a key element to a great band.

I Know You're Out There Somewhere

Go Now

Question

The Voice

The Story In Your Eyes

The Other Side of Life

Live at Royal Albert Hall w/ full orchestra

Live at Isle of Wight '70

Live at Taverne de L'Olympia - Paris '70

Red Rocks '92

Any Moody Blues fans on here? I know you're out there somewhere.

I was a child of the 60s and honestly I didn't become a fan until much later. The mid 90s concert w/ the BR symphony was one of the best I ever attended. So, yes, I'm out here on this Tuesday Afternoon.

Personally, I think they seriously tarnished their legacy with that shite they did in the 80´s and 90´s.

The live version without out all of the synths actually sounds a little like Sharp Dressed Man

Days of Future Passed is always my go to roadtrip music!

question: Is the album considered a rock opera?

I don't know about rock opera but it is definitely a concept album. It was the first of many concept albums for them.

You should watch the Red Rocks '92 video. It's a good one, especially the 2nd half

Not live, only the "Red Rocks" concert on PBS. They are really sound great with a symphony orchestra backing them up.

My mom is a huuuuggggeee fan.
In the hallway of our house, one side was pictures of my brother and me. The other was pictures she took at concerts and their Vegas shows.

Went to see them with her back in like 01. Good shite.
