Looking for OT fashion advice

What's the OT's thoughts on initials printed on cuffs of dress shirts? I just had some custom suits done and the dress shirts that came with them have my initials printed on them. Just didn't expect that. My initial thoughts are that it seems like more of an older person thing, granted I'm pushing 40 so I'm not that young myself. Maybe they aren't too bad for when I wear the shirts with the suits? But I think it may look goofy if I wore them with jeans. Not a big deal. Just curious on thoughts.

You will be fine as long as you wear an undershirt.

It's those little details like that will set you apart from the average guy. It's a great look. Hell, getting custom suits that actually fit worth a shite sets you apart.

This is really what you are trying to tell us, isn't it?

"Printed" or stitched/monogrammed?
The term printed makes me think of like a silk screen printing on a dress shirt which doesn't make sense. So I assume you're just a guy who doesn't get the difference.
But I love monogrammed initials on just about anything. And if you're getting a custom dress shirt I wouldn't think you'd plan on wearing those with jeans with or without a monogram.

I'm 30. I get it on all of my shirts I wear with suits. I like the look, obviously.

a) Totally normal with suits.
b) why would you wear dress shirts with jeans? I do wear button downs with jeans all the time, but I have my "suiting" dress shirts, and then I have everything else. Stick to white/blue oxfords if you want to wear them w/ jeans.

Personally, I think visible monogrammed initials on clothing are a bit gauche. Trying too hard to emphasize to others that you've had your clothes personalized. But I understand others like it, and it doesn't really matter much. So if it's your thing, go for it.

I have a few monogrammed cuffs.
I figure it helps Wang at the dry cleaners keep up my clothes.

Only wear the custom shirts with your suits?

How much did a suit and 2 shirts run you? My boss has a guy from Thailand that comes to town every few months, and he'll do 2 shirts and a suit for around $500.

Beta.
Not for initials though. You're "pushing 40" and asking the advice of strangers on a message board.

Don't wear with jeans, it looks trashy. Only with suits or cargo shorts and crocs

For people who don't stand out on their own and need to manufacture some way to say "look at me, I think I'm important"
