By the way, does anyone have a video of this? If so, can you link it in this thread.

From Saturday Down South...

quote:

“There’s little or no evidence that would say that injury is likely,” Miles said. “Having said that, the incidence of injury in football is 100 percent. That being said, ‘He hurt his hand. Why? Because he was playing football. He hurt his elbow. Why? Because he was playing football.’

“Fatigue, if there’s a guy on there that’s tired, here’s how we handle it: We played Oregon and Auburn and a number of teams that use the up-tempo offense, right? Here’s what happens: The guy goes like this (patting his head) when he gets tired. When the ball is stopped, he runs off the field quickly. And we put another guy on the field quickly. It just happens. As the time it takes to get on the far hash, it becomes difficult to do, don’t get me wrong. But in the ebb and flow of the game, it’s not been an issue for us.”

“The incidence of injury in football is 100 percent.” I couldn’t have said it any better myself. Miles then goes on to explain the basic procedure of how LSU substitutes players when they’re tired or winded – as do most teams – by patting the helmet.

Saban is realizing he's looking like a little Beotch the more coaches speak out about it

So let me get this straight, the guy who "apparently" has an issue managing the clock seems pretty comfortable quickly substituting during the game. While the best coach that ever lived has a problem managing his team in a timely fashion. Go figure.

LSU has done a fairly good job of handling this type of offense, with Oregon the first big challenge coming to mind. It seems that a coaching staff, against the no huddle, has to train its players to handle a variety of different situations somewhat autonomously. Saban likes to entirely control his defense, from personnel packages to coverages, from the sideline, and the hurry up no huddle does not give him that luxury. Our staff seems to do a better job of coaching up the players who are on the field to quickly make the right calls on their own.

Hey coach Saban. Here is an idea to help the HUNH offense.

Look at what LSU has done against the HUNH. Honestly, Chief might be the best in the country at shutting it down. Even with Cam it was 17-17 with 6 minutes left in the game. Shut down Johnny both games. Shut down Auburn again this year and everyone knows about the Oregon game. Chief is the GOAT.

The 'Best coach that ever lived' will say or do anything to benefit his program.

I assume you are kidding with the "best coach that ever lived" comment. No doubt Nick is good, but lets not go overboard.

Go to this link of his presser after Saturday's first practice. If you don't want to listen to the whole thing, the HUNH question is around 13:48

And he made it look easy. Now, if CLM & Co. can/will just transfer that b-slap to the playing field versus Nicky this fall...

If a slower Dlineman gets tired, all he has to do is fall down and fake an injury. Has anyone else noticed this?
