Isn't that the fact? That is how national media view it considering coaches are not evaluated based on outcomes of a couple of games but the program they have maintained in the last 7-10 years. Who else? Urban Meyer? He is also a coach who needs to accumulate top recruits and have favorable schedule. I personally think Spurrier is better than all of them if he has access to the same talent. This is how it is viewed from outside of Louisiana. Go ahead and rant but tell us who is better and why? Remember also how LSU fans were running Jimbo Fisher out of town.

My brother in law thinks the Head Coach at the U is better than Les Miles.

BTW: he is a big U fan.

If this is true, why aren't we hearing miles' name connected to the potential opening at Texas?

You're a goddamn fool

I don't think you can argue with that assessment, at least if you look over several years.

But Jimbo may be putting himself in the mix, too

Have you heard anyone's name besides Saban? Not on message boards, but from the media?

The reality is Miles should never be mentioned in the same sentence as Saban.

ETA: I realize the irony of my post.

Coker had a better record against top 10 teams.

8-5 v Les' 10-10.

So Coker may be a slight notch above Les.

For those that are all about the numbers, that is.

Ok, let's play a game. Variant of USC/Texas. Let's say ... Saban abruptly retires, health or something. Who would Alabama consider for head coach, salary no object?

If you say "Les Miles," you are indeed a GD idiot.

Alabama would not hire Les...would not even think about it.

Still, the thought of that is hilarious.
